This command clears the workspace and prepares Substructure for a new project. |

| Save |
This command saves the existing project using the current name. This command is useful for quickly saving intermediate steps during a work session. |
<Ctrl+ S>

| Save As |
This command allows you to save a project file under a different name. The previous data file will be retained under the original name. To save a file, select the appropriate directory and drive and input a name in the File Name field. Click Save to save the file under the new name. Clicking Cancel will cancel the file saving and return to the program. |

| Save Setting |
The Save Setting command allows you to save current data as default data, and is especially useful when performing repetitious designs with only a small amount of input variation. The Save Setting command will save material properties. A message will appear asking if you want to save the current settings as default settings. Click OK and the next time the program is started, or the New command is activated, these previously saved settings will exist as defaults. These values are stored in a default file specified under the Show | Preferences option. |

| Print |
The Print command allows you to print the project data and results summary. You can view the results on-screen, send to a printer, or print to a file. You can select a specific component of the pier to print or customize which parts of the results or input data to print. Pier specific results can only be printed for piers for which a design has been completed and the results are available. A typical printout contains your company header, to include filename, date, etc. The bottom of a printout includes the program name and input file path, and the design code used.

| Print Setup |
Selecting this command will activate the Print Setup screen. Once the output device is selected, click Properties to configure the selected output device. |

Convert Old Data
|
Selecting this command will activate the Substructure Upgrade Utility screen. This command allows you to convert old Substructure (DOS version) files to the new format used in Substructure.
First, input the directory where the old Substructure DOS project resides in the Source Path textbox, or click Browse to locate the directory. Second, input the directory where you want to save the converted file in the format used by Substructure in the Destination textbox, or you can click Browse to locate a directory where the file will be saved. Third, click Convert. The program will convert all old data to the current format. The results will be displayed on the screen under Conversion Results. Click Close to exit the screen.

Security
|
This command will bring up the LEAP Software Security screen.
By selecting the appropriate tab, you can transfer authorization to different directories or computers, or kill an existing license.
One valuable feature is the Security Dir tab, which allows the user to install the program on a local computer but use the security from another directory, usually from a network. This option allows you to have multiple users without the server or network running slow.

| Exit |
The Exit command exits Substructure. A message will display, verifying if this is certainly your intention. If there is any data not saved, the program will display a message asking if you want to save the existing data before exiting the program. |
